What to expect

Take a guided walk of the geisha district and the charming cobble stoned streets in Gion and Higashiyama. Your host Niall will share stories to make the places come to life. His insights on the world of the geisha will be of special interest as he helps you to understand more about this unique world.

Where it takes place

This walking tour covers both the Gion district and the beautiful Higashiyama district. Get amazing photos at some of these special place that have even more charm as the sun starts to set. 

Places visited: Gion Shirakawa River, Tatsumi Shrine, Hanamikoji, Kenninji, Yasui Kompira gu, Yasaka Pagoda, Yasaka Shrine and more depending on the pace on the day. 

We also help you find a place to grab a bit to eat after the tour.

Cost is 40,000 yen per group up to 4 people (approx. $280 USD) Each additional guest is 10,000 yen/ person (approx. $70 USD)

Includes hotel pick up, 2 hr walking tour and restaurant arrangements. Not included: food, drinks, transportation
